The food system is broken

“Roughly one third of the food produced in the world for human consumption every year — approximately 1.3 billion tonnes — gets lost or wasted.”

— Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations

A technology already used by ancient Egyptians

Fermentation makes it possible to produce protein in a matter of days rather than months, regardless of weather conditions or seasons. Farms can expand vertically without the need for additional farmland.

Our process in a nutshell

1.

Brewers use brewer’s yeast to make tasty beer through a process called fermentation. Brewer’s yeast is a microorganism that is a by-product of beer production and serves as a starting material for SACCHA.

2.

We search everywhere for the best quality brewer’s yeast, brewed according to the German purity law (Reinheitsgebot) and extract natural proteins and vitamins from it.

3.

The proteins obtained serve as the main raw material for all our products. The end result of our process is delicious, healthy and sustainable everyday foods that replace the meat on your plate.

There is no waste at SACCHA

In our universal process, microorganisms such as brewer’s yeast are completely recycled. From one substance we obtain many products.
